"Be Careful What You Witch For"

Description: A genie, employed by a dragon warlock to steal the Halliwells' powers, offers to grant each sister one wish for whatever they most desire. But when they refuse, the genie tricks them into wishing, resulting in an uncontrollable power for Phoebe, Prue's death, and the rapid aging of Dan, who finally learns Piper's secret."

If a genie were to pop out of a bottle and offer you three wishes, would you take it? I know before watching this episode I would have jumped at the chance any old day, but now I'm going to have to pass on that one. As the Halliwell Sisters learned, you can't get everything you want just by wishing. It's not that easy. Talk about personal gain consequences, the Charmed Ones had those coming out the wazoo! With Phoebe getting the power to fly and not being able to control it, Piper still having conflicts with Dan, and Prue reliving a time in her life which wasn't so enjoyable for anyone, the girls definitely had some issues. I do sometimes feel bad for Phoebe when she feels like she could do more to help in demon battles, but since she doesn't have any active powers it tends to hold her back a lot. I was glad when she finally decided to pick up kick boxing, because she can really kick butt or to quote Piper, "You just opened up a can of Whoop Ass!" I'm sure Phoebe would have loved to keep that flying power, if only it didn't come with the string attached that a dragon warlock would be chasing after her all the time. After seeing Prue as a teenager, I'm glad she is no longer like that now. Apparently she was downright unpleasant, if both Piper and Phoebe are still remembering how it was horrible with her around. Everybody goes through their awkward stage in life, and for Prue that was seventeen. I wish the producers of the show had gone more into the boyfriend Prue had that was really bad for her. I found it funny when Phoebe was saying how Grams was furious how the boyfriend had hurt Prue, and then said, "Come to think of it, the guy disappeared not long after that, you don't think Grams had anything to do with it do you?" Knowing Grams and how overprotective of the sisters she was she probably did do something to him. Why does it seem like all of these blog posts seem to come back to Piper and Dan. Dan needs to just move on with his life, and Piper tried to give him that but the genie screwed that up to. I hate to say it, but Dan does not age well if that's how he ends up looking in his elder years. I felt bad for both Dan and Piper in this episode. Dan, because he was confused and didn't know what was happening to him, then Piper just throws her huge secret at him. And Piper, because she felt bad for Dan and felt like it was all her fault, and didn't know how to tell him her secret. All in all, I'm glad the secret finally got out, but good thing she never told him when they were together, because he did not take it well at all. He took it even worse than Andy, because at least Andy still wanted to be friends with Prue after he found out, as opposed to Dan who didn't want anything to do with Piper. For all you Dan fans out there I'm sorry, but this was Dan's final episode on the show, and good because now Piper and Leo can fully move on with their lives without Dan always interfering. In the end, I'm glad that Prue was able to be saved from death, the dragon warlock was vanquished (with the famous power of three spell I might add), and the genie got his wish to become human once and for all. See you next time on to season 3! "May the power of three set you free!" Keep reading and watching!

Peace, Love, and Charmed!
