"Apocalypse Not"

Description: "When a vanquishing spell goes awry while the Halliwells try to destroy the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Prue and one of the Horsemen become trapped in a vortex. Piper and Phoebe enlist the help of the three remaining Horsemen to free Prue and the fourth Horseman before the vortex closes, and both are killed."

This is a momentous occasion in my blog because not only is it Halloween (Happy Halloween to all of my faithful readers), but it's also the 50th blog post!!!! I cannot believe that I have kept up with this for so long. Through two very long breaks, I'm back to hopefully finish it once and for all. Okay now back to the most recent episode of Charmed. If a building was burning down and you could either choose one sibling or three strangers to save, who would you save? For the Charmed Ones this seemed like such a no brainer, of course they would say their sister. But by the end of the episode, they learned that when you're the greatest force of good out there, you sometimes have to be willing to lose someone you love for the greater good. Unfortunately in this episode, Piper and Phoebe had to learn that the hard way when they almost vanquished their sister. This was also the first time that I realized Phoebe can really stay strong during a crisis and Piper not so much. Piper was the one who lost it when she thought they had vanquished Prue, and Phoebe was the one reassuring her. I was glad to see Leo comforting Piper also. They have such a strong relationship, and it's really good to see them showing that to everyone now. Speaking of Leo, he was downright furious when Piper and Phoebe were going to work with the enemy to save Prue. He wanted Prue back as much as they did, but he didn't want to lose them either at the cost of trying. Leo may have come off as a little harsh to new viewers, but to us who know and love him, we know that he was just afraid of possibly losing Piper. Go team Leo! By the mid-episode though, it was almost like the sisters were forming alliances with the horsemen. They were working together peaceably with little arguing, and were surprisingly able to save their counter parts. Leo being the over protective whitelighter/boyfriend that he is, ended up following one of the horsemen back to head quarters to see what he was up to. I was surprised though that when the horsemen figured out Leo was there, he didn't have security go after him. You might be skeptical at times, but sometimes evil can really surprise you. In the end, Prue was reunited with her sisters, the 4 horsemen were vanquished, and the world didn't end due to a huge apocalypse. My favorite quote of the episode is when Phoebe says, "We just saved the world from destruction, the least we can get is a thank you." "May the power of three set you free!" Keep reading and watching!

Peace, Love, and Charmed!
