"Lost And Bound"

Description: "Wanting to protect a ten-year-old orphaned boy who is a firestarter, Piper and Leo try to hunt down the demon before he can deliver the kid to The Source. Meanwhile, Phoebe is given Grams' wedding ring by Cole, but to their surprise the ring has been cursed to transform the wearer into a traditional 1950s suburban housewife."

Family was the central theme of this episode, with the key points being turned toward marriage and kids. I thought it was so sweet how Cole proposed to Phoebe with Grams' ring, but he should of known something was wrong with it, if not the curse, just the fact that she was married with it six times. It has always been a running joke in the Halliwell family that Grams couldn't hold down any marriage for very long, and I'm glad her granddaughters have better luck with it. It was so funny to see Phoebe turn into a housewife, which is exactly what she was dreading turning into. Do you think the producers of the show set it up like that purposefully? Personally, I think they made her walk right into that one. A funny three-liner in this episode is when Phoebe had just made cookies for Tyler after spending all morning in the kitchen and Paige says, "Wow Phoebe, you went all out." And Phoebe says, "Oh, well, you know me. Any excuse to spend a little time in the kitchen." And Piper chuckling comes back with, "I do know you and that's just not true." It always shows Piper being the only one who spends any amount of time in the kitchen because she's a chef, but it was referenced in season 1 that Phoebe was a terrible cook. Another funny quote in this episode is when Cole finds Phoebe in the tub when she's supposed to be writing a spell, and when Phoebe stands up, Paige walks in the bathroom looking for Cole and sees naked Phoebe and says, "Woah, full frontal Phoebe, sorry." Too funny! Speaking of fun moments to watch in this episode, I thought it was hilarious when Piper and Leo were arguing over binding their future childrens' powers. I agree with Phoebe, that don't couples usually argue about kids after they have them? I see both Leo and Piper's points, but they eventually have to come to a compromise, because you can't do both. I guess only time will tell to see what they eventually do. Piper's motherly instincts really blossomed in this episode, and it was really cute to see her interact with Tyler. Viewers got a taste of how great a mother Piper will one day make. Speaking of blossoms, how funny was that "Power of Three" spell that Paige wrote? Wow, I died laughing, but granted that was her first time writing her own spell and she had no help. At least it got the job done, right? This was the first time the sisters came across a firestarter, and to be honest, they're probably my favorite magical creature they have yet to come across. If Tyler would just learn to control his power better, he would be a real asset to the world. But as Piper said, Tyler needs to have a chance to live a normal childhood. Poor kid almost got killed by The Source and his powers stolen, so good thing Piper's inner mother bear kicked in when it did. "May the power of three set you free!" Keep reading and watching!

Peace, Love, and Charmed!
