"A Witch In Time"

Description: "When Phoebe must constantly save the life of her new boyfriend, a warlock shows up from the future, claiming that future Cole sent him in order to kill the boyfriend before Phoebe dies instead. However, present Cole cannot allow this and tries to help the sisters protect Miles, but when the warlock decides to work on his own agenda, by stealing the "Book of Shadows", it results in the death of two of the Halliwell sisters. The survivor must decide whether going back to change the past is the right thing to do."

Unfortunately, the number one rule of being a good witch is that you can't save every innocent. The Halliwell sisters have had to learn that rule, and then regret it over and over as they lose innocents that they had grown attached to. For Phoebe, since she has such a big heart and was just starting to get close to Miles, this was a hard lesson for her. Miles was her first serious relationship since her and Cole divorced, and to her it was important to make it work. But how much fun could she really have been having if she had to keep saving Miles all the time? Piper tried to tell her, but Miles was inevitably just a rebound, and Phoebe came to that conclusion herself by the end of the episode. I was concerned to hear that in the future, near future at that, Cole is destined to once again be The Source. At least that was the message the warlock came with from the future. I don't know how reliable this warlock is though, since by mid-episode he had completely forgotten the orginal plan and started working on his own turf. I felt so bad for Piper when Phoebe and Paige got incinerated by the warlock, because she felt so helpless and had no idea how to get them back. You can tell that Piper is really upset when she completely breaks down and has lost control, because usually she has everything together. Leo, always Piper's rock, had to reassure her that not hope was lost, and convince her to try out the time ripple. This isn't the last time we'll see the time ripple in this show, and each time it comes with more adventures. Piper used the time ripple like a pro though, and it was so funny to see her interact with her past-self. I'm surprised that past-Piper didn't try to blow up future-Piper, since everything the sisters see and do you would think they would be a little more wary of things like this happening. I don't agree with one thing in the show. The writers put in that future-Piper tells past-Piper that the next time that Phoebe has a relationship to not stand in her way. I disagree with that because Piper didn't exactly stand in her way, she just told Phoebe how she felt about it and Phoebe still did what she wanted to. My favorite quote in this episode is in the beginning when Leo and Piper are walking in with the groceries and go between Phoebe and Miles kissing, and then when they walk in the living room they run into Paige and her boyfriend making out on the couch, and Piper says, "What is this, a brothel?!" Too funny! "May the power of three set you free!" Keep reading and watching!

Peace, Love, and Charmed!
