Description: "The Charmed Ones are called upon by The Lady of the Lake to help protect Excalibur, the legendary Sword in the Stone. Numerous magical beings arrive at the manor to try their hand at pulling the sword from the stone, but it's Piper who finally pulls Excalibur out of the stone, causing a surprise figure to appear."
If Wyatt already didn't have more power than normal for a 10 month old before, he surely does now that he's the new "King Arthur". Last episode we dealt with prehistoric times and now the sisters are dealing with medieval times, while bringing up stories of the knights of the round table and epic sword battles. I think Piper needs to start prioritizing her time and have more fun, instead of always falling into the same old routine of taking care of the house, the club, and Wyatt. Her to-do list was as long as could be and that's before the lady of the lake came in and changed the whole plan around, like the supernatural world has a tendancy to do to the Halliwell sisters' lives often. After what happened during the course of the episode though, it sounded like Piper finally figured out what she really wanted. Can Wyatt get anymore power? I know he's the twice blessed child, what with being the son of a Charmed One and a whitelighter, but to quote Piper, "He has so much power it's almost scary." I thought it was funny how Piper refused to believe that what was happening with the mysterious woman in the lake, the sword, the rock, and the knights was a modern day version of the story "King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table". Piper has always been the sister to covet a normal life without magic, so inevitably she's always the last one to believe that things could possibly be tied to the supernatural world. How rude was it when all of those magic creatures started showing up at the manor and lining up to get their chance to try and pull the sword out of the stone? They just came into the Hallliwell's house and made their selves at home, all the while bossing the sisters and Leo around, and they never even asked or said thank you. But to see the looks on everyones' faces when Piper was the one to pull it out of the stone, you would have thought Santa Claus himself had appeared in the sunroom. I'm surprised the sisters didn't figure out there was something fishy about Mordaunt right from the beginning. With all the different demons that come out to try and successfully trick and attempt to kill the Charmed Ones on a daily basis you would think the sisters would not take any chances with anyone they don't know. I'll give it to them that they were rightfully suspicious of him, but none of them chose to act on those suspicions until it was too late and Piper was already too far gone. I found it interesting who Piper chose as her minions/knights of the round table, which were different kinds of demons including even a Grimlock. Whatever the power of the sword does to those who attempt to weild it when they're not meant to, it sure fully took over Piper's sense of who she was fairly quickly. I think the sword might have been one of those magical objects that effect you the more you use it, and since she was sword battling Mordaunt all over the manor it didn't take any time at all. I wonder where Chris was in this episode? This was a rare episode recently where Leo was working with the Charmed Ones alone just like old times, and I'm glad that him and Piper have found a way to put aside their differences and do what's best for Wyatt. I would still rather see them together and a couple, but if we can't have that I'd rather them still be happy instead of hurting. It was nice to see a change to Paige's usual temp jobs this episode now that she was Phoebe's assistant, but the rivalry between those two was a little surprising. In my opinion, I don't think Phoebe had much of a premis for being so overbearing and rude toward Richard. Phoebe keeps saying that Paige barely knows him but at least she's giving him a chance, whereas Phoebe is doing the exact opposite and giving him no chances to prove himself. I felt bad for Richard because it was very obvious that Piper and Phoebe didn't trust him and want him around, but he wanted to stay there with Paige and protect her and make sure she's okay. Once again stuck in the middle of a rock and a hard place, but when it comes to being involved with the Charmed Ones that happens a lot. My favorite quote of this episode was after Wyatt defeated Mordaunt with Excalibur and Piper says, "Okay, sweetie, that's very, very good. But we need to put this away, so you don't put an eye out. At least until you're eighteen." Too funny but it's just a small hint of what powers is to come with Wyatt. "May the power of three set you free!" Keep reading and watching!
