"Love Hurts"

Description: "Leo is shot by the arrow of a darklighter, and asks the sisters to help protect a girl that is being targeted by the darklighter. Piper casts a spell to swap her powers with Leo's, but mistakenly the spell causes Prue and Phoebe's powers to swap. Meanwhile, Andy leaves his job to help protect Prue's secret from being exposed by an Internal Affairs investigation."

This emotional episode begins with none other than the return of beloved Leo, but it's not a happy one since he's dying from a poison darklighter arrow. Out of all the ways Piper could have found out Leo was a whitelighter, this is probably the worst way it could have happened. Before now Piper has never admitted to either herself or out loud how much she truly feels about Leo, but she was forced to quickly come to terms with these feelings in the midst of his impending death. Sometimes you never know how much you deeply love someone until you realize there's a danger of losing them for good. It was sweet how even though Piper was upset with Leo about keeping the secret that he was a whitelighter from her for so long, that she didn't hesitate to try and find every possible way of saving him. Even when Phoebe and Prue were trying to get Piper to see that all hope was lost and she needed to start saying her goodbyes, she refused to believe it and wasn't going to give up. At that moment is when I believe that Piper finally realized for herself how she really felt about Leo, but was too afraid of admitting it out loud in case she lost him. Anybody who can watch all the scenes about Piper and Leo and not cry, needs to get themselves checked out for emotional stability. I am a true believer in soul mates, so there is no doubt in my mind that Leo and Piper are destined to make it. As emotional as this episode is, it is not lacking in the comedy department at all. I found it hilarious when Prue and Phoebe had to figure out how to control each other's powers. I liked when Prue was trying to make Phoebe mad by continuously poking her, because that's Prue's trigger for her powers. Phoebe thought Prue was really losing her mind when she was doing this, but they really had no time to waste since they were fighting a darklighter. I was not surprised when I found out that Phoebe was teased with the name Freebie in high school. I don't agree with it because that's cruel and no one deserves to be treated like that, but Phoebe was really rebellious back then so I'm sure she wasn't the nicest to her classmates. My favorite quote of this episode is when Prue admitted that Phoebe was falsely accused when they were kids for something that Prue did, and Phoebe throws the whitelighter into the stall using Prue's power when angry saying, "Prue, I got grounded for that!" Too funny! I thought it was downright adorable at the end of the episode when Piper found out that Leo's trigger for his powers was love, and while doing so finally said she loves him. I was proud of Piper when she selflessly made the decision to let Leo still be a whitelighter instead of clipping his wings, although the alternative would have been he got to stay with her. Not many people in her situation would have been able to make that sacrifice, so it was great to see her come to terms with that decision. Piper knows how much good Leo did for her family, and she doesn't want to be the one to take that away from other future witches who need his help. The final scene of this episode also finally reveals that Internal Affairs Inspector Rodriguez is a demon! This will cause problems in the season finale, so stay tuned to see this story unfold! "May the power of three set you free!" Keep reading and watching!

Peace, Love, and Charmed!
