"The Witch Is Back"

Description: "A warlock from the past is released from his curse and tries to steal the sisters' powers with the help of Rex and Hannah, but the sisters resurrect their ancestor to combat him. Meanwhile, Piper works up her courage to ask Leo out, and Andy gets frustrated by Prue's continued involvement with bizarre police investigations."
Cursing Matthew Tate into a locket seemed like a good idea to Melinda Warren when she did so back in the 1700s, but she didn't count on her descendents opening the locket 300 years later. But with the help of Rex, Prue got hold of the locket at the auction house, and Matthew Tate was released into present day San Francisco. Matthew Tate ended up being the first warlock the sisters would face that had some powers they had never come across before, including being able to steal Prue's power and her sisters' powers soon after. Before Matthew Tate came along, the form of transportation known as blinking was foreign to the Halliwells. I thought it was pretty cool to see the Charmed Ones conjure their ancestor Melinda Warren from the dead. How many people can say they have met the creators of their family line? Not only was she able to come back from the dead for a short period of time, Melinda was able to band together with the sisters to send Matthew Tate right back where he came from. I'm glad that Phoebe has finally realized that she needs to step back and give Piper a chance with Leo. Ever since the truth spell incident, Piper has been building up the courage to ask Leo out on a date, since according to her she's never asked a guy out before. My favorite quote in this episode is when Phoebe says, "Am I the only sister that inherited the 'take a chance gene'?" When Piper responds with, "I think so, because if I remember my biology correctly that's right next to the 'I can't mind my own business gene'!" Too funny! What I love the most about this show is that the producers don't just show all the demon fighting, they also include how the sisters deal with staying close to each other. When the Halliwells are portrayed as normal siblings that have quarrels just like everybody else, it brings the show on a more personal level and makes it great. This whole situation with Rex and Hannah is really starting to get quite annoying! The writers are drawing this situation out longer than I would think possible. I still can't believe that Prue hasn't realized something fishy is going on. You'll just have to wait and see how this story eventually plays out, but I promise you won't be disappointed. Andy really pissed me off in this episode when he went ballistic over Prue refusing to talk to him. HELLO, just because you guys dated doesn't mean you get information from her all the time! You guys broke up, remember? I just wish Prue will tell Andy again, this time so he can remember it. It might make things really awkward between the two of them, but things are already awkward so how much worse can things really get? "May the power of three set you free!" Keep reading and watching!
Peace, Love, and Charmed!
